Your products on Instagram, automatically
SocialPosts turns each of your Shopify products into a branded post — a still image, a Story, or a Reel with a moving background and music — and publishes it to your Instagram account at times you choose. Design it once; it handles every product after that.
Install from the Shopify App Store
What it does
You already have products with photos, prices and descriptions in Shopify. Posting them to Instagram means opening a design tool, making a graphic, writing a caption, and remembering to do it again tomorrow.
SocialPosts does that part. You build one poster template, choose which collections to post from and at what times, and it publishes on its own.
How it works
-
Connect your Instagram
One click, using Instagram’s own login. You need an Instagram professional account — Business or Creator, both free to switch to.
-
Design your poster
Drag areas onto the canvas and bind each one to a product field: the photo, the title, the price. Choose your fonts, colours and background. One template serves your whole catalogue.
Five choices: portrait, square and landscape for the feed, full screen for a Story, and full screen with a moving background for a Reel.
-
Choose what posts, and when
Pick the collections you want to post from and set the times. A collection set to 12:00 and 19:00 posts twice a day, in your store’s timezone.
-
Review, or let it run
By default, posts wait for your approval so you can see what is going out. Once you trust it, switch approval off and leave it alone.
What you get
- Posters from your real products. Every post is generated from your own Shopify data — the product’s photo, title and price, as they are right now.
- Captions you write. A caption template with placeholders that fill themselves in. No generated text, no surprises, and you can change it whenever you like.
- Hashtags from your own product tags. Your words for your own products, plus brand hashtags you set once. Nothing invented.
- Feed posts, Stories and Reels. A 9:16 template publishes as a Story. Give it a moving background and it becomes a Reel — which appears in the feed as well as the Reels tab, and does not expire. Stories are on Growth and Pro; Reels are on Pro.
- Reels, without a camera. Choose a background from a library built into the app, choose a track, and set when each part appears — the photo, then the title, then the price. Watch it play in the editor before anything is published. No footage of your own required.
- Your logo on every post. Upload it once to a template and it renders on every product that template touches. Up to eight images each, so a logo and a badge can sit together.
- Your own fonts. Install any of 34 typefaces covering Latin, Arabic, Hebrew, Cyrillic, Greek, Devanagari, Bengali, Tamil, Thai, Khmer, Georgian, Armenian and CJK.
- Another language, properly. Bind a poster to a second language and it uses your own Shopify product translations — not machine translation. Right-to-left scripts are laid out correctly.
- It does not run out. When every product has been posted, it starts again with the ones posted longest ago, so a settled catalogue keeps working. Adjustable, or switch it off.
What it does not do
We would rather tell you now than have you find out after installing.
- No AI writes your copy. Captions are your template; hashtags are your tags. Some people want a model writing their posts — this is not that product.
- No shoppable tags. Instagram provides no way for any app to add product tags or a Shop button when publishing. Every caption carries your product link, and you can tag products by hand afterwards if your account has Instagram Shopping.
- Instagram only, for now. Facebook Page posting is planned.
- No music of your own on a Reel. Instagram’s music library only works inside the Instagram app — anything published through an API has to bring its own audio. We supply a set of tracks; you cannot upload one.
- One post per product at a time. Each product goes out once, then waits its turn before appearing again.

The Free plan does not expire. It connects to Instagram, renders real posters from your products, and publishes one a day — enough to know whether this works for your store before paying anything. That is why there is no separate trial.
Pro is not capped by us. Instagram enforces its own 24-hour publishing allowance on every account, and the app reads yours rather than assuming a number. A few posts are always held back so a failure late in the day can still be retried.
Billing is handled by Shopify and appears on your normal Shopify invoice. Cancel any time; nothing is deleted when you do.
Questions
Do I need a particular kind of Instagram account?
A professional account — Business or Creator. Both are free, and switching takes a minute in the Instagram app. Personal accounts cannot be published to by any app.
Will it post things I have not seen?
Not unless you ask it to. Approval is on by default, so every post waits for you. Turn it off when you are ready.
What if I add a product?
It goes out next. New products always take priority over anything being reposted.
Can I stop it?
Pause in Settings stops everything immediately. Nothing is lost, and unpausing picks up where it left off.
What happens to my data if I uninstall?
It is deleted. Posts already on Instagram stay, because they belong to your account. Read the privacy policy.
